Solana ecosystem in 3D
The Solana blockchain as a space station: the four biggest apps of each type are satellites docked to it, sized by the money they hold. Read our full Solana review for the background.

Where the money sits
DeFi deposits by type of app, for the apps above. Liquid staking dominates. These add up to more than the headline TVL because some money is counted twice — for example, staked SOL that is then deposited in a lending app.
Top exchanges by volume
Trading volume on Solana's DEXs in the last 24 hours.
How the pieces connect
A typical path money takes through Solana DeFi. Each step uses what the previous one produced.
- 1
Stake
Stake SOL and get a liquid token back that keeps earning staking rewards.
Jito (JitoSOL)Sanctum LSTsJupiter (JupSOL)Marinade - 2
Borrow
Deposit those tokens or other assets as collateral and borrow stablecoins or SOL.
KaminoJupiter LendSaveLoopscale - 3
Trade
Swap or provide liquidity. Jupiter routes each trade through the cheapest DEX.
RaydiumOrcaMeteoraPumpSwap - 4
Leverage & earn
Trade perpetuals, or let vaults move deposits between apps for the best yield.

Underneath it all: stablecoins (USDC, USDT, PYUSD, JupUSD) are what people borrow, trade and earn on.
Beyond DeFi
Phantom
The most popular Solana wallet, as a browser extension and mobile app.
Firedancer
A second validator program built by Jump Crypto, so one bug can no longer stop the whole network.
Alpenglow
New consensus system targeting finality in about 150 ms instead of 12.8 s. Set to activate on 21 Oct 2026.
Seeker
Solana Mobile's phone, with a built-in wallet and its own app store for crypto apps.
Pump.fun
The meme-coin launchpad behind much of Solana’s trading activity, with its own DEX, PumpSwap.
Pyth
Price feeds for stocks, crypto and currencies, used by lending and trading apps across chains.
Wormhole
Bridge and messaging network that moves tokens and data between Solana and other chains.
Helium
A people-powered wireless network that runs on Solana, including the Helium Mobile phone plan.
Best stablecoin yields
Pools with more than $5M deposited. Rewards are paid in tokens and can change daily.

The SOL token
No maximum supply. All-time high $293.31 (Jan 2025).
There are no big unlocks: new SOL is created as staking rewards, and part of every fee is burned. Stakers earn roughly 6–7% a year; holders who don't stake are slowly diluted.
