OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) is a meme coin on Solana launched on 17 January 2025, three days before Donald Trump’s second inauguration. It was announced by Trump himself on social media.
Within two days, TRUMP reached a market value of well over $10 billion and a price above $73. It then fell sharply as new coins (including one for Melania Trump) appeared and early buyers sold.
How it works
TRUMP is a simple Solana token with no product. The website describes it as a celebration of Trump and “not intended to be an investment”.
- 80% of the supply belongs to CIC Digital (a Trump Organization affiliate) and Fight Fight Fight LLC, released gradually.
- 20% was sold to the public at launch.
- Large holders have been invited to events, such as a dinner with Trump in May 2025 for the top 220 holders.

- Insider supply. Most TRUMP is held by entities linked to the Trump family, which can sell over time.
- Ethics. Critics argue a president selling a personal token creates conflicts of interest and opportunities for influence.
- Pure speculation. The coin has no use beyond trading and perks.
- Political risk. Its value is tied to one person’s political fortunes.
