Crypto wallet

Also called: wallet

In shortAn app or device that stores your private keys and lets you send, receive and use crypto.

A wallet does not actually hold coins — they stay on the blockchain. It holds the private key that proves they are yours and signs your transactions.

Wallets are hot (connected to the internet) or cold (kept offline), and either self-custodial or custodial.
